CONNECTIONS
Personal training for your whole being.
Physical. Emotional. Mental. Spiritual. Most people rely on only one or two of these four human components, compensating, often to their own detriment, the benefit of a whole, well balanced, peaceful being. In CONNECTIONS, we will work to find that balance within all aspects of ourselves and our daily lives.
Classes will focus on a physical workout rooted in traditional martial arts, guided meditation, and time spent focusing on a reading or theme. Themes will include nutrition, martial arts philosophies and history, health and wellness, and spiritual exploration.
Students will gain:
• physical fitness • increased mental focus • awareness of energies • a deeper sense of connectedness to self and others • increased clarity and direction • self defense skills
Location: Classes will be held at both Westside Academy of Kung Fu (WAKF) in Hillsdale and The Academy of Kung Fu (AKF) in southeast Portland.
Schedule: Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available 7 days a week. We’ll work together to accommodate your schedule.
Cost: $20 per class / $125 for a 10 class punch card. There is no charge for the first two sessions.
To offer maximum benefit classes are small in size limited to four students.

Testimonials:
“Sean is a kind and patient teacher, but is also tough and expects a lot from his students. Training with him always keeps me on my toes and challenges me. Physical drills, meditation, discussion–he’s great at transitioning between many things while keeping them all connected.” –Michelle Johnson
“I come to the training floor not just to work out my body, but to challenge myself and grow emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Sean’s teaching approach complements these goals because he shares them and understands the process from the inside out. He also cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He knows when to push and when to pull back, when to critique and when to offer support and encouragement. Training with Sean for the past two years has played a significant role in my growth as a martial artist.” - Joanna Burgess
“I started training with Sean Kelly in 2009, and from the beginning, it was a priority for me to make it to his classes. He knows my unique strengths and weaknesses, and he is always able to balance his lessons so that in any given night we may fluctuate between what is comfortable and what is truly challenging. Whether he is teaching me to keep pressure on my opponent during a fight, or gently reminding me that good posture extends to every walk of life – his lessons have an impact on me that I can feel both on and off the training floor. Training with Sean is an experience that I would recommend to anyone, and it is an experience that has meant a great deal to me.” Allison Stickles
